Apple has now released across the globe the company’s latest operating system iOS 7 for iPhones and iPads and with so much hype around it, we have gone ahead and downloaded it!
iOS 7’s flat design is actually a bold move from Jonathan Ive’s team at Apple. We particularly are not too keen on it, but after playing around for a while, we are now “getting used to” the interface and functionalities.
Beyond the look and feel of the new platform, users need to check apps already installed on their devices to ensure they have been updated to work with iOS7, as some features might conflict and/or might no longer work.
If users have any concerns about updating, recommendation is to first back up any data as they might loose stored information.
On this topic, one issue we are experiencing is that apps are not looking right, design looks poor and not adjusting to grids as they should do. We will be waiting to see any updates based on the new operating system.
